How to use Squirters

Squirters are regular DTI's (Direct Tension Indicators)
with a flexible silicone embedded in the depressions under the bumps. To
use them, simply
TIGHTEN THE BOLT UNTIL AFTER THE ORANGE SILICONE APPEARS
IN VOLUME FROM MOST OF THE DTI'S SQUIRT LOCATIONS. THEN STOP TIGHTENING.
That's all there is to it. You can see when you're done.

Squirters Field Tested by Florida DOT
On the Beaver Street Project in Jacksonville, the Florida DOT gave Squirters
a try. They were very successful.
The test results showed that it was a accurate method of proving the
proper tension in the bolt, while at the same time showed a significant
time and money savings!
